This writer has been fortunate enough to visit France on many occasions and Paris in particular. We used to indulge weekends away from London! I always noticed a more aloof attitude towards tourists if one did not at least attempt something in the French language. This article highlights other considerations which we here in the office would agree with – and we have native French staff!
